This makes it a great option for someone who is buying for the first time, someone upgrading from an entry-level model, or anyone who wants to reduce time and effort when cleaning their home.
This robot can be used on carpets and floors that are not bare. Its 2,000Pa suction power can take on carpets with heavy-duty. It's even able to clean pet hair from crevices and cracks in bare floors. It's built well, moves effortlessly, and can be operated using voice commands from Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for hands-free operation. The battery is smaller than some of the other models we tested, but it still has plenty of juice for most homes.
The s7 is also able to be used as mopping robot. It includes a 200ml water tank and a mopping plate that easily attaches to the back of the robot. The Neato Q5 Pro is a multi-purpose robot vacuum that excels at bare floors and cleans up a significant amount of debris on carpets of both high and low pile. It's well-built and comes with many navigational features. It is also easy to maintain. However it has a shorter maximum battery life than some other models and has higher recurring costs.
The Q5 is one of the slowest moving robots we've tested, but it has a reliable layout algorithm that doesn't need to be watched over after the first time it traverses an area. It starts by tracing a perimeter, and then fills in the interior with parallel lines. Once the job is done it is returned to the charging station, if it was not at the base.
It did a great job cleaning on hardwood floors and sucking up at least 88% of the dirt in each test. It was a bit less successful on carpets with high and low piles however it did better than the average unit. It also has mopping attachments for dealing with wet spills, although we didn't test this feature.
